Training
Delta Design training classes provide comprehensive operations instruction, technical review, and hands-on troubleshooting of our handlers.
Our award-winning training programs include written course materials and a maximum amount of hands-on time for the students. Classes are led by our worldwide product specialists, designed by professional curriculum writers and follow PBET training standards, to provide our customers the most effective tool instruction. We offer three basic levels of customer training; customized classes can be coordinated to suit your training needs.
Training Levels
Level 1 OperatorLength: 1 day (8 hours)
Location: Customer Site
Overview: A one-day product operation and overview class designed to teach basic operation skills like part load/unload, jam recovery, and general equipment safety.
Prerequisites: Good English language and reading skills.
Level 2 Service TechniciansLength: 1 week (40 hours)
Location: Delta Design Factory in Poway, CA

Overview: An in-depth service orientation that covers operational requirements of the equipment including setup and alignment, and mechanical/electrical problem diagnosis.
Prerequisites: Good English language and reading skills, Level 1 training and at least 30 days experience with semiconductor handling equipment.
Level 3 Tool Specialist/Field Service SupportLength: 1 week (40 hours)
Location: Delta Design Factory in Poway, CA

Overview: A one-week intensive covering advanced handler operation, software configuration, mechanical, electrical and software diagnostic tool usage, and thorough exploration of subassembly technologies.
Prerequisites: Good English language and reading skills, Level 1 and Level 2 training and at least 6 months experience with the specific Delta Design equipment.
Schedule
Delta Design provides regularly scheduled classes at our Poway factory, with on-site training available. A maximum of six students are allowed per class with seats available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
NOTE: Classes as listed on the schedule that have insufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation 2 weeks before schedule date. Please see the training packet (hyperlink PDF) for more information.

Delta Design factory training classes immerse students in a dedicated training environment, away from work distractions. Sending employees to a training class at the Delta Design factory means no downtime for customer production tools.
Small classes (maximum 6 students) enable hands-on experience and focused instruction time, on a dedicated handler with the most recent hardware and software components for the product line.
